- Bearing Witness to the Human Spirit
I AM HERE is an immersive storytelling and experiential arts exhibition that brings together documentary photography, personal stories, music, and interactive experiences to celebrate the resilience, courage, and humanity of real people.
Through authentic voices and lived experiences, the exhibition invites visitors to witness the power of connection, challenge assumptions, and discover the stories that unite us.
Selected Works From Previous Exhibition: Unity In Diversity
This project served as the artistic foundation for my proposed immersive exhibition, I AM HERE. For Unity in Diversity and shows examples of my work.
I approached complete strangers at community events throughout the Dayton area and invited them to share their stories as participants in the project. Each individual was interviewed, collaborated on a personal written narrative to accompany the exhibition, and photographed in a documentary style that authentically reflected their lived experience.
The exhibition transformed these portraits and stories into a shared space for dialogue, empathy, and human connection, laying the groundwork for the expanded multidisciplinary vision of I AM HERE.
The Bigger Picture
I AM HERE is one part of a larger vision to strengthen community through the arts.
A documentary film crew will follow the development of the project from concept to exhibition while also documenting the broader work taking place throughout the Dayton community.
The film will capture initiatives such as Love Shack, community arts and wellness events, women's groups, and other collaborative efforts that bring people together through creativity, healing, and connection.
Together, these projects tell the story of a growing movement to establish the Imaginarium Arts & Wellness Collective—a permanent creative hub where artists, musicians, therapists, wellness professionals, and community members collaborate to make the arts more accessible, expand wellness opportunities, and create a welcoming platform for connection, expression, and belonging, particularly for vulnerable and underserved populations.
