Building Bridges Instead of Walls

Check the event calendar on this site for all events and our Facebook page for all the details!

Our events bring together community through merging music, performance, dance, art, play and free mental health services and resources as tools for empowerment and healing. Community members who are struggling financially can get in free through opportunities of service, barter or trade.

WHERE DO I FIT IN?

These events serve as a platform for local artists, DJ's, musicians, performers, creatives, volunteers, vendors and wellness professionals to showcase and offer their gifts, talents and resources. They are great places to launch a new business or idea and collaborate with others!

These events promote self care, imagination, creativity, empowerment and provide leadership and service opportunities to vulnerable populations and those in financial need.  Our events are LGBTQ friendly and strive to be inclusive, diverse and safe space for all!

WHY IS THIS NEEDED?

Because of the current climate of our country, safe and inclusive spaces are needed more than ever. Healthcare, benefits, community resources and DEI programming are being eliminated at alarming rates and alternatives need to be explored.

Misty has been funding these events with no sponsorship for 7 years and because of the growing need in community and popularity of these events, this has become an expensive endeavor.

Your support could help to grow these events and make them more accessible to those in need. Become a sponsor, partner or community volunteer!

Stay tuned for an exciting community resource event that we are developing! We are looking for change makers, mental health and wellness activists and professionals, holistic medicine specialists, educators and community leaders. We are taking bridge building to the next level and need your help!

Together We Rise.

When we come together as a community, we don't just share space, we share strength!

Pulse of the People:
Dayton Community Drum and Music Gathering

A great way to get involved is by coming to our monthly community drum and resource circle!

No experience necessary and there are plenty instruments to share. Dancing, flow art and hooping encouraged.

If you are a creative or musician and would like to share to your music or poetry, you are welcome to in this circle.

We are creating opportunities for people to barter, trade and give away useful and needed items such as:
Fresh produce, packaged and non perishable food items, unopened medicine and herbal alternatives, vitamins, personal hygiene products, water, first aid supplies, tools, batteries, art supplies, toys, clothes (washed) etc. Keep things useful and practical. I love the idea of trading art and services as well.
Trade for lawncare services, odd jobs, haircuts, wellness services... get creative!

Bring your own table or blanket for your items to display and share.

We will have Resource Boards available.
The Needs Board is where you can share your needs and The Resource Board will be where we can take inventory what we have to offer one another.

***If you are a person who experiences privilege and abundance, you are being asked to share this position of power with those vulnerable populations in your community.  Sharing resources and providing platforms for opportunity and empowerment is how we begin to close those gaps in resources and services. ***
